There are multiple ways to display totals in your proposal, allowing for flexibility in presentation based on the type of information you want to highlight. These include:
1. Systems Totals #
There are multiple ways to display totals in your proposal. For this example showing system totals
- Displays the total cost or summary of the systems included in the proposal.
- Useful when breaking down costs by system type for better clarity.
2. Area Totals #
- Shows the totals by designated areas, such as rooms, floors, or specific project zones.
- Ideal for proposals that segment the work by physical areas.
3. Labour Totals #
- Summarises the total labour costs associated with the project.
- Helps emphasize the cost of services alongside material or equipment costs.
4. Grand Totals #
- Provides an overall total.
- Essential for presenting the final cost of the project in a concise manner.
System Total #
The System Total shows the overall amount for your systems, based on the figures and layout set in the Quote Editor
How to Show Your System Totals:
- Go to ‘Proposal View.’
- Select ‘Edit.’
- Add the section ‘Systems Total.’
By default, this section will appear at the bottom of your proposal. To move it to your preferred location:
- Highlight the section and drag it up or down.
- A red line will appear, indicating where you can drop it.
Click ‘Finish Editing.’
Area Total #
The Area Total shows the overall amount for your areas, based on the figures and layout set in the Quote Editor

- Go to ‘Proposal View.’
- Select ‘Edit.’
- Add a section labeled ‘Area Total.’
By default, this section will appear at the bottom of your proposal. To move it to your preferred location:
- Highlight the section and drag it up or down.
- A red line will appear, indicating where you can drop it.
Click ‘Finish Editing.’
Labour Total #
The Labour Total displays the total labour costs associated with the quote.

- Go to ‘Proposal View.’
- Select ‘Edit.’
- Add a section labeled ‘Labour Total.’
By default, this section will appear at the bottom of your proposal. To move it to your preferred location:
- Highlight the section and drag it up or down.
- A red line will appear, indicating where you can drop it.
Click ‘Finish Editing.’

You can customise the section to display a detailed breakdown of the total and choose to show or hide specific pricing features.
Once satisfied, overwrite your changes the updated layout will appear whenever you use the template for future quotes.
